Stars Team Up For New Prank Show
May 13, 2004 - World Entertainment News Network
Nick Lachey, JC Chasez and Michelle Branch are among a host of stars who are teaming up for a new prank show with a twist - one of their unsuspecting victims will land a glamorous job.
MTV's Faking the Video will set six real-life production assistants to work on a fake video shoot for such stars as Chasez, Bubba Sparxxx. Branch, Monica, Lachey, Omarion and Sleepy Brown. All of the stars will pretend to be filming the video for a new Diane Warren track called Making My Way.
The entire production - including troublesome talent managers, entourages, crew members and the celebrities themselves - are in on the hoax, which will determine which PA performs best under pressure.
The crew will dismiss one PA each week and the last person standing will win a cash prize and a job with music video director Wayne Friedman.
The show follows the success of Ashton Kutcher's popular celebrity prank show Punk'D.
