Danny Masterson says he faced some unexpected challenges during the filming of "Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000."

Although Masterson, 24, has been acting most of his life, "I'd never done an action movie like this before so I did a lot more reacting than acting. And that's not easy."

His previous films include "Face/Off" with John Travolta.

"Give me a monologue or a speech and I have no problems," Masterson told reporters recently. But when he was instructed, "OK, here's a monster, be scared. Ahhh!' - It was really not easy to do."

Masterson plays Steve Hyde on "That '70s Show" on the Fox network.

He is one of the stars of "Strange Frequency," a new VH1 anthology movie that will premiere Jan. 24.
