Craig Gets Punk Makeover
Mar 8, 2003 - World Entertainment News Network
R'n'B star Craig David has abandoned his squeaky clean image for a new advertising campaign - which features him dressed as a punk.
The clean-living singer swapped his usual slick look for a pair of leather trousers, spiked gloves, fake tattoos and a mohawk.
The look, part of an ad for Heineken beer, is almost identical to that adopted by British pop sensation Robbie Williams for his music video for Let Me Entertain You.
Although the Seven Days star enjoyed the makeover, he will not be showing his grandmother the photos.
He says, "I'd love to have a tattoo for real, but I change my mind too often - I'd go off it in five minutes.
"I showed my mum the shots and she thought they were great, although I avoided showing my nan - she wouldn't have understood that the tattoos and hair were not for real."
