Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is hoping to team up with Hollywood actor Will Smith for a special performance at this weekend's Teen Choice Awards.

The ceremony is set to take place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, with Cyrus as host.

During the event, the teen and her best friend Mandy Jiroux are planning to stage a "dance-off" against Step Up 2: The Streets actor Adam Sevani - and the trio are hoping to invite Smith on stage to join them.

Sevani tells E! Online's Marc Malkin, "Will Smith is so cool, I did the Kids Choice Awards with him, and he was just so cool. I wanted to use him for our (Teen Choice) performance, but I don't know if he's gonna be here."
