Kristen Bell is making a return to the small screen for the forthcoming third season of hit TV series Heroes.

The actress, who joined the show's cast in 2007, will reprise her role as Elle Bishop, a genetically advanced superhuman with the ability to electrocute her enemies.

She tells People.com, "I'm just happy to be electrocuting people again!"

Bell will star in the show's season premiere, airing in the U.S. on September 22.
