The Hills star Heidi Montag has denied reports she intentionally snubbed President George W. Bush by pulling out of an appearance at a forthcoming White House gala.

The reality star had allegedly been invited to sit at TV network Msnbc's table for the White House Correspondents Gala at the Washington Hilton, Washington D.c. this Saturday.

However, Montag's boyfriend Spencer Pratt, who is acting as her manager, is alleged to have pulled her appearance when the network refused to pay for both of them to travel in first class to the event, claiming it wasn't "A-listy enough".

A source tells New York gossip column PageSix, "When Spencer got involved as her manager, he demanded first-class tickets for both him and Heidi - even though he wasn't invited."

But a representative for the couple insists that was not the case: "There was a scheduling conflict so they couldn't make it - but they always travel together."

In contrast, a spokesperson for Msnbc denies Montag had even been invited in the first place.
