Tv Turns Beckinsale Into A Hypochondriac
Mar 24, 2008 - World Entertainment News Network
British actress Kate Beckinsale avoids watching TV in the U.s. because medical shows and commercials trigger her hypochondria.
The star confesses she gets overwhelmed by the choice of channels in the States and ends up getting hooked by depressing adverts.
She tells talk show host Jay Leno, "I don't watch television in the U.s. because in Britain I'm used to five channels. I'm comfortable with that."
"Then I come here (America) and there are 2,000 channels and 1,000 have some medical commercial on them. And I always think I've got whatever it is they are talking about. Which is usually haemorrhoids."
