Actress Jennifer Tisdale has hit back against Internet message board rumors that she was only cast in a movie because her little sister's music appeared on the soundtrack.

Jennifer, who is four years older than superstar sister Ashley Tisdale, appears this month in the straight-to-DVD film "Bring It On: In It To Win It".

Jen set the record straight during a chat today with TeenHollywood.com. "To set the record straight, I do read message boards," she announced. "There were some people talking about how the only reason I was cast in the movie was because Ashley's music was on the soundtrack. The truth is that they didn't pick her music until after I was already cast."

Jen's little sis Ashley was sidelined from her national tour this weekend due to complications from a nose job. However, according to Jennifer, Ashley has recovered and will be joining big sister and friends tonight to watch Jen's new "Bring It On" DVD.
