HAPPY, YOU'RE FIRED!

The pooch on "7th Heaven" is unemployed as of Sunday.

That goes for the rest of the cast and crew, too. The saga of the Camdens and their seven children -a devoted fan can rattle off the kids' names in a nanosecond - ends Sunday night on The CW at 8 after 11 seasons and 249 episodes.

Happy, a terrier rescued from a shelter in 1995, has been with the show since it began Aug. 26, 1996.

Also leaving The CW this month is "Gilmore Girls," which fell to pieces when the network gave the boot to the show's creator, Amy
Sherman-Palladino, before the start of this season. The sparkle that made "Gilmore Girls" an absolute delight went out the door with
Sherman-Palladino. The finale is Tuesday at 8.

'Tis the season of cancellations and renewals. The networks are deciding whether to toss any of their shows into the scrapheap with "7th Heaven" and "Gilmore Girls."

"Law & Order," "Friday Night Lights," "Crossing Jordan," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "Scrubs" are on the bubble at NBC. "Law
& Order," once watched by 22-plus million viewers, is down to 7.5 million after 17 seasons.

At ABC, they're contemplating the future of "George Lopez," "The Knights of Prosperity," "In Case of Emergency" and "What About Brian."
