Quirky movie star David Arquette will premiere his new horror film at Hollywood's most famous cemetery tonight.

The Scream star's directorial debut, The Tripper, will get its celebrity pre-release screening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery - one of Arquette's favourite childhood haunts.

He says, "I grew up right down the street on Melrose and Gower. We always knew about the cemetery. My older brothers and sisters would sneak in and run around in it.

"Valentino's buried there, and Douglas Fairbanks Jr and Johnny Ramone."

The movie, which is co-produced by Arquette and his wife Courteney Cox, follows a group of friends who are stalked by a killer in a Ronald Reagan mask at a rock festival.
