Crime drama CSI: Miami has been named the world's most popular show in a study of television ratings.

The forensic science drama, starring David Caruso, came top after viewing habits in 20 countries were examined by Informa Telecoms and Media.

The show is produced by movie mogul Jerry Bruckheimer, who has two other shows in the top 10 - CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the original CSI set in Las Vegas, comes in at number six and missing persons drama Without A Trace is seventh.

The top ten TV shows are:
