Jan 25, 2006 - Lynn Barker
The 100th episode of the fun series "Smallville" will air this Thursday night and it's a doozy! TeenTelevision got to see the episode early and we'll tell you to break out the tissues! There is a death in the show, romance, intrigue...it's got it all!

Clark Kent himself took a break from his busy shooting schedule and met with us to talk about new directions for the show, the threat, if any, to be faced when the new Superman feature film comes out and Tom's feelings on the loss of one of "Smallville's" strongest characters.
TeenTelevision: So, this season is going to be a huge move in different directions?
Tom: I think, from this episode on, the show is going to be very different from what it's been in the past. We're finally going to get to what I believe the audience wanted the show to be. Everything up to this point has just been building.
TeenTelevision: Are you worried about the show being moved to Thursday nights?
Tom: They've moved us around a few times and we've always done well. We'll be okay.
TeenTelevision: I hear you are going to direct an episode. Can you talk about your decision to do that?

Tom: Well, I've been around the show for a couple of years. [laughter] I have a pretty good idea of what it is and what the characters are about. I started thinking about it probably the second episode we ever shot. I look forward to having more of a hand in the shaping of at least one episode.
