More Trouble for Jersey Shore
Bosses behind hit MTV reality series Jersey Shore are facing a lawsuit from a woman who alleges she was assaulted by security guards working for the production company following a dispute with one of the show's stars.
The female accuser, named only as J.P., has filed court papers claiming she was left with a gash on her chin after a heated argument between her and Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi was broken up by four men allegedly working for 495 Productions.
J.P. alleges she was wrestled to the ground by the men and left with a cut to her chin which has become a permanent scar.
She has filed suit against MTV's parent company, Viacom, 495 Productions, and the entire cast over the alleged assault.
The court papers also accuse TV bosses of illegally profiting from criminal behaviour by filming such scenes for the show and seeks damages under New Jersey's racketeering laws, according to the Dailyrecord.com.
The case is one of a number of lawsuits filed against TV bosses over alleged assaults which have featured in the show - three other New Jersey natives have filed suit over incidents which are claimed to have been shown in the series' first season.
