Hayden on "Heroes" and Zach

While chatting with the press about her upcoming teen-aimed comedy I Love you Beth Cooper, Hayden Panettiere spilled a bit about an upcoming "Heroes" storyline and how cast members mercilessly teased Zach Quinto about his role as Spock.

TeenTelevision: Can you give us a little hint about what is coming up with the premiere?

Hayden: Well, Clair's in college, and she has a new roommate who we don't really know about in the beginning. We'll find more about her and there's also this new group in town called the Carnival. They're the opposite of the Company. The Company wanted their powers kept secret; their whole being was to keep people from telling, to keep it all under wraps. And the Carnival's the opposite, they want everyone to know. So that's a very interesting thing that's coming up. Not to mention last year we ended up with Nathan's gone and he is Sylar, Sylar is he. So things don't always go so smoothly

TeenTelevision: That's for sure! Have you seen Zach in Star Trek?

Hayden: Oh yeah, he's so good.

TeenTelevision: Did you tease him about the ears?

Hayden: Well, he showed up on the set with no eyebrows, 'Hey dude, what happened?' We would just tease him like that. 'Yes, Spock,' 'Okay, Spock,' 'Whatever you say, Spock' (every time she says a sentence she throws up the "Live Long and Prosper" Spock hand signal and we laugh). That's what we're there for,

TeenTelevision: To just tease each other a lot?

Hayden: We really are the closest cast, and we're just like brothers and sisters that just sit there and poke each other's buttons. We're the ones who have to be there to take their egos and shove them on the ground and stomp on them. They do it to mine all the time. I'm the butt of everyone's joke. I'm the little sister who gets it more often than not. 'Leave me alone,' there are combinations of them that get together and it's just (she cries out) 'No, leave me alone. I'm tired of being made fun of.'

TeenTelevision: That sounds just like a family all right. How much of a grind is it to do "Heroes"? It must be physically and emotionally taxing.

Hayden: Absolutely, it's hard work, it's definitely hard work, but I love what I do. I really do, and we have such a family over there, we're such a tight-knit cast and crew and it's just a big part of my life and it's like working at home, working from the office being on 'Heroes'. It definitely is emotionally taxing and physically taxing sometimes, but it's all worth it at the end. It's all worth it at the end of the day and you make some great, great memories and I have so much fun doing it. I always find that the more difficult something is and the more turbulent the shooting process is, the fonder the memories are afterwards. You look back and you remember those moments where you were in a pinch or something was grueling or you couldn't get something and they're much fonder memories to me.
