Paris Hilton's "New BFF"

Paris Hilton is once again in need of a new BFF. Last year, on the premiere season of her MTV television series, "My New BFF", she thought she had found the ultimate best friend in Brittany, but it turned out to be shorter-lived than forever. In Season 2, a brand new cast of 14 potential best friends have been invited to Los Angeles to live in a house together and face rigorous challenges testing their hotness, smarts, loyalty and party skills. But, only one of them will be deemed worthy of the ultimate prize: an all-access pass to the VIP section, and life lessons from the master of contemporary Hollywood celebrity, Paris Hilton herself.

An actress, singer and socialite, Paris Hilton spoke with us about a new season of friendships, scandals and catfights on Season 2 of MTV's "My New BFF", premiering on June 2nd.

TeenTelevision: What are your favorite qualities about yourself that you'd like to have in a best friend?

Paris: My favorite qualities about myself are that I'm very giving, I have a big heart, I care about people, I'm fun, and that's what I want in a best friend. I want someone who's a good person with a big heart, who has empathy towards people, and who is a positive influence.

TeenTelevision: What can viewers expect from Season 2 of "My New BFF"?

Paris: Season 2 is off the hook. It was so much fun! I had the best time doing it. It's a million times better than the first season. The characters on the show are so funny. They're so much more real. I just had such a great time. It's all about the sisterhood, so it was like having my own Paris sorority, which was a lot of fun. There was hazing. Some of the things I put them through were kind of brutal, but it makes for really great television.

TeenTelevision: What's different about the show, this time around?

Paris: This time, I think I'm a lot harder on them. Last year was a lot of fun and games, but this year, I really wanted to weed out the users and the losers, and people who I thought just wanted to be on television or just wanted to use me to make themselves famous. So, this time, I really made them do a lot of tests and put them through really harsh challenges. It was very different from last season, and a lot more fun. I can't wait for everyone to see it on June 2nd.

TeenTelevision: Was it a difficult decision to choose the winner?

Paris: Yeah, it was a difficult decision. In the beginning, there were a lot of hungry tigers that I had to get rid of. And then, by the end, there were a few people that I really did connect with and I could see myself being friends with, so it was a hard choice to make. But, the person who won is a really great person, and I'm glad they won.

TeenTelevision: Once you get your BFF, what do you do together?

Paris: A best friend is just someone who you can go shopping with, talk to on the phone, talk about what's going on and gossip with, just like what you'd do with any normal friend. If you want to go on a trip together, you do. I can't wait for that person to be revealed, so we can go and start doing those things.

TeenTelevision: You can't hang out now, right?

Paris: No, because then people will know who the winner is.

TeenTelevision: How often do you get to see the winner of the British version?

Paris: It's a boy, named Samuel, or Sammy. He is so cute. We text and talk, all the time. He was just in L.A., over Easter, so I invited him and his friend over, and we had a big Easter party at my house. Basically, we talk on our Blackberrys, every single day. He's adorable. Even though he lives all the way in London, we're close. I'm going to be going there next week, so I'll go visit him.

TeenTelevision: Do you care if your new BFF here gets along with your BFF in England?

Paris: Since they live in different countries, it doesn't really matter if they get along or not. But, the one who won the British show is so sweet, he can get along with anybody, so I'm sure that they'll get along.

TeenTelevision: Since you are thinking about doing versions of this show all over the world, like in such places as Australia, Germany and Russia, are you considering any other locations, such as maybe France?

Paris: I think there is room for BFF's, all around the world. I travel all the time, so it's always great to have a best friend wherever you go. I had so much fun doing it in London, and next we're going to be going to Dubai, in a couple weeks, to find my Dubai best friend. So, that's going to be a lot of fun. I cannot wait. I've never been to Dubai, so I'm really looking forward to that. And, I would love to have a French BFF as well. We'll see if we can make that happen.

TeenTelevision: Is it important for your BFF to be as hot as you are?

Paris: I know I do say that on the show, but it's not all about looks. I don't care if my friend is hot or not. I'm kind of joking when I say that. It's part of the fun with the show. It doesn't really matter how someone looks. But, everyone on the show is hot!

TeenTelevision: Which do you think is harder; finding a good boyfriend or a good best friend?

Paris: I think it's harder to find a good best friend. I'm really happy with my boyfriend (Doug Reinhardt) right now, but sometimes it's hard to find a good best friend, especially in Los Angeles because you really don't know what people intentions are and why they want to be your friend.
