Voight to Join "24"

Jon Voight is ecstatic after being asked to join the cast of his favorite TV show 24 - to play a villain.

The 69-year-old Oscar winner will make his first appearance during a two-hour prequel episode that will air in November ahead of the series' seventh season premiere.

The Midnight Cowboy star will then re-appear in the latter half of the season, reports Fox News.

In a statement, Voight says, "I am thrilled and excited about being invited to be part of my favourite show 24. I'm hoping to bring my very best to it."
