Letterman Fails To Quiz Lopez On Pregnancy Status

Jennifer Lopez's pregnancy status remains the worst-kept secret in showbiz, after talk show host David Letterman missed the chance to quiz the superstar on his program on Tuesday.

Rumours of the singer's status were seemingly confirmed last week when a wardrobe malfunction onstage at a gig in Connecticut revealed a tummy bump - but Lopez has refused to make the news official.

And Letterman failed to press the issue during Lopez's appearance on his couch - despite claims her husband Marc Anthony has already let the news slip to journalists.

But the veteran presenter did ask if Lopez would be as tough a mother as her own mom was, to which she replied, "If I can be as great a mom as she is, then everything will be all right."

When he later asked if she found the prospect of motherhood daunting, Lopez grinned and replied, "Yeah, it is."
