Hilton Arrives Late For Hosting Duties

Paris Hilton left producers concerned when she arrived an hour late for her presenting duties on a live TV show.

The hotel heiress was booked in for a brief spot on American Top 40 Live, which showcased the top-selling songs of the past year.

And while celebrities including Carmen Electra, Paula Abdul and Ciara put in an appearance when expected, Hilton didn't arrive behind the scenes until the show was well into its two-hour run.

When host Ryan Seacrest asked Hilton why she was late, she responded, "I was walking my dog," before introducing Akon to the stage to perform.

Hoobatsank's The Reason was named the top song of the year, while Usher scooped the number one artist award.
