"Friend" Matthew Perry's Makeover

A fit and healthy Matthew Perry is setting the London social scene alight - just two years after battling back from painkiller and alcohol addictions.

The Friends star is currently in the British capital starring alongside Minnie Driver and Hank Azaria in West End comedy Sexual Perversity in Chicago.

In 1997 Perry spent a month in rehab in America to battle addiction to the painkiller Vicodin, and then in 2001 he checked in Malibu clinic Promises to help kick an alcohol habit.

But partygoers in London have been left shocked by the actor's svelte and healthy look - just twelve months after he was photographed looking bloated and overweight playing tennis as he battled to stay clean.

Last night Perry was spotted at a fundraising party for children's cancer charity Sargent Cancer Care for Children - where he attracted the attention of a bevy of beauties.

A fellow reveller says, "He looked thin and tanned. Lots of girls were trying to get his attention, but he seemed happy hanging out with his mates."
