Aniston Was Addicted To Dieting

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston suffered an eating disorder which destroyed her health and turned her into a dieting addict.

The wife of Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt went from a size 14 to a slim 6 after beginning a diet four years ago (99) that turned into an obsession.

She says, "I got to a place where I was sick a lot, my energy was low and I wasn't happy.

"I started taking vitamins and exercising and went too far. You get in that Zone Diet thing and you get kind of addicted to that."

Aniston, who won a Golden Globe award this month for her role as Rachel Green in popular comedy series Friends, joins a long list of stars - which includes Sandra Bullock and Calista Flockhart - who have put themselves through the controversial carbohydrate-free diet.

Aniston managed to wean herself off the diet, which in extreme cases causes liver damage and infertility.

The Good Girl star was supported by Pitt, who recently revealed he wants to start a family.

The 33-year-old actress - who's now a healthy size 10 - says, "Now I eat food, I work out, but I don't go crazy. I'm just healthy."

Aniston believes her insecurity stems from her childhood days of watching TV soap operas, which featured a range of beautiful actresses.

She says it was her aim in life to look like them: "Their hair, clothes and make-up were perfect. Looking back, I realise it wasn't a good thing. I was wanting to become this unattainable person."
