Ford Pops The Question

Hollywood hunk Harrison Ford has dashed the hopes of millions of women worldwide by proposing to girlfriend Calista Flockhart on Christmas day.

The Indiana Jones star presented the Ally McBeal stunner with a $300,000 diamond resting on a platinum band, which he hid in a $1,200 Gucci handbag.

After the pair opened all their other presents, Ford told Flockhart she had one left and she was thrilled when she opened the package to find the expensive handbag - but nearly fainted when she found the real gift inside.

Ford said, "Marry me, I want to share my life with you."

Calista replied, "Yes, I'll marry you. You're the best thing that's happened to me since my son Liam and we both want to share our lives with you."

The pair will officially announce the impending nuptials early next year.

A source adds, "Harrison has been thinking about this for some time. He's been smitten with Calista from their very first date."
