J-Lo's Concert To Be Televised
Jennifer Lopez's first concert will air Tuesday November 20 (10-11pm ET) on NBC.
The performances took place in September at Roberto Clemente Stadium in Puerto Rico. The shows included about a dozen songs, from both her latest album "J.Lo," as well as her first album "On The 6." The Latin Diva was accompanied by a 10 person orchestra, 11 dancers (choreographed by her newlywed husband, Cris Judd) and a five person choir.
Jennifer Lopez first album "On The 6", has sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. She's been nominated for several MTV Video Music Awards and in 2000, her video for "Waiting for Tonight" won Best Choreographed Video. Her next single, "Let's Get Loud" was nominated for Best Dance Song at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards. The singer/actress made history though, when her second album "J.Lo", sat at the top of the Billboard Charts and "The Wedding Planner", in which she starred, was number one at the box office.
The first single off "J.Lo," "Love Don't Cost a Thing" held the top slot of the Billboard's Singles Chart for 5 weeks and was nominated for two awards at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, while the album itself was the number one seller in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Her latest single "I'm Real", featuring Ja Rule, is on its fifth week at number one on the Urban Mainstream charts. The third single off "J.Lo," "Ain't It Funny," will hit the airwaves in the coming weeks, and a video directed by photographer Herb Ritts will be lighting up the small screen.
